It's dry, it looks like a bristle and I'm just tired of managing it so CHOP CHOP CHOP it goes!

Some say it looks like mushroom, some say helmet, another says it's dog bite and others are loving it. No matter what people say, I'm loving it simply because, I only need 10 minutes to style my hair now instead of an hour. AHhhhhh....my head feels so much lighter :D

I was diagnosed with a right ovarian cyst last year during my first ultrasound+pap smear+mammogram checkup.  The cyst is a functional cyst (collection of fluid surrounded by a thin wall) and not cancerous.

Any ovarian follicle that is larger than 2 centimeters is termed as ovarian cyst. Functional cysts or simple cyst are part of the normal process of menstruation and harmless. It is not a disease and can be treated. My doctor told me not to worry as cysts usually goes away after a few period cycles. However I’m advised to arrange for regular checkups to make sure it does go away.

A month after my arrival in Seattle, I was hit by a sudden abdominal pain. The pain was horrifying, unbearable, knee weakening and piercing through each and every bone. I couldn’t even walk and was rushed into ER and they sedate me with pain medication. I was put through a bunch of blood tests and ultrasounds which was horrible because it was so cold and I was dizzy from the sedation. They found blood traces in my ovarian cyst from the ultrasound and suspected that it might be the cause of the pain but they advised me to make a follow up appointment with a gynecologist who can tackle my situation more accurately.

Since then I’ve been visiting my gynecologist regularly every 2 months and everything has been looking good until last month. Apart from the existing one has grown in size, they found a new cyst growing on my left ovary and both are filled with fluid and blood. As the cysts have potential to bleed into themselves or twist the ovary, I’m now put on birth control pills treatment. Birth control pill helps to shrink and eradicate existing cysts and prevents the formation of new cysts. I’m scheduled for another check up four months later to see the result of the treatment and thus I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

-| Random Rambling |-

It's been ages since I last blog. Not having any writers blocked, just that I was too lazy to write and I was too busy designing, sketching and making new softies. I haven't even made softies samples for Tough Girl101. I don't hate cats but I don't mingle with cats too often so I'm having troubles drawing cute angry cats. Made some sketches of cats but still, am not too happy about them. I'm suffering from "perfectionist syndrome". This is bad. Work is progressing slowly as I'm constantly unhappy with the design and the outcome hence the ripping apart of unsatisfactory softies. Currently I have some legs, hands, tiny lil shirts and a head sitting in my storage box. I don't even know what to do with them! I'm absolutely frustrated!

To fend of those frustrations I've decided to sign up for the gym last Tuesday and went for my first work out session last night with MoofMoof. Miraculously it helped! I ran 2miles = 3.2km on the treadmill (I think I can do more than that because I was hardly tired) followed by some triceps, biceps, legs and abs workout.

Work permit is finally approved and I received my travel documents yesterday. That means I have to start cracking my brain and think of what I want to do. I've been entertaining the idea of the possibility as an interpreter. Despite the fact that I'm unsure if I'm cut out for the job, I've decided to do more research and give it a shot. Every day I tell myself to buckle up and work towards my goal. I have to admit that it's a painful struggle as I can be too laid back and I'm easily de-motivated. The stresses pile on when people do not understand how hard I'm trying and instead they throw in unfair criticism and casting judgmental looks my way. Oh well, tomorrow will be a better day.

Enough rambling and I shall get back to work.

I made my first sale on http://www.etsy.com right before Chinese New Year. It's really rewarding and it made me feel so good. What a good way to start the new year eh?

My softies blog and shop isn't fully set up yet. Once it's all up, I'll post the links here. Below are the 2 piggies that I sold.

-| A New Goal |-

Long break was good! Now that I'm back, I can be more productive and also, I wanna start living a healthier life.

I used to swim and run alot, like everyday but I haven't being doing any of that for 7 years. Can you believe that? 7 FREAKING YEARS! I started running again today. It's anything but easy. I only ran for 1.5km today and was already gasping for air. Back then 1.5km would have been a peanut. Arghh...Nevertheless, it's still fun and fulfilling.

Anyway the reason I was so hyped up about running is that I bought a new running shoe yesterday; 3-D Cushion with Fit Foam Soft Comfort Footbed technology. It's oh so nice and comfy!
