Traffic is moving very slowly and it usually frustrates me but when I come to think of it, it happens every day after work. It’s nothing new for me, so maybe today I should just relax and take a good look around me. What I saw was posters, banners, and flags on each side of the road all over the city. Some glued awkwardly on anything that has a surface wide enough, some flapping fearlessly against the wind and some just lay lifelessly on the ground. Orh, which reminds me the General Election of the year 2008 is just around the corner.

What kind of a government do we want, to lead and run the country? A fair clean government that will bring our country up a few notch while making sure there’s always peace and harmony all over the country? People often ask me “Hey, so which political party are you voting for?”. My reply is always the “I don’t know” followed by the shrugging and the eye-rolling without ever knowing why it came out the way it did. Finally it dawn on me why I couldn’t pick a side. All the political parties running on the election can’t even live up to a very simple value and yet a very important one – Cleanliness. All the leftover posters and banners that were not put up were left laying on the ground. Is it that hard to pick them up and dump them into the trash can that is just sitting around the corner? Those props that were put up were simply hung with either one side left drooping down. Simply put, they were all set up in a very messy manner making it an eyesore. Driving around with all those props hanging messily is just not very pleasant. My once so-called nice and pleasant town is made into a chaotic circus of political campaign.

Can we really trust our fate in the hands that can’t even keep our town clean and pleasant to make our country flourish in the eyes of the world?

-| A Year After |-

-This blog entry was written 3days ago on 23rd February 2008 but I was not able to get online and thus the delay of posting. -

Today, 23rd February 2008 marks the 1st anniversary since the 100 of us went to India to train with Infosys. WOW! Unbelievable. What felt like yesterday is already yester-year.

Lots have happened and lots have changed since then. I can say that I came back a different person. Not a black and white different kind of different but more like a part of me has changed, if you know what I mean. Lots of tears shed, laughter shared, anger flared and frustrations vented out in the gym, swimming pool and the most frequented pool room. Each and every incident has touched the deepest spot in my heart and makes my life so much more meaningful. Those are memories that shall be cherished and kept in a little safe spot in my heart.

Skills learned from the training have heightened my confidence and faith I have for myself. I’m no longer horrific by the idea of embarking into the software world. It does not turn me into an expert but it helps me be more certain with myself to pick up whatever it is the IT world has to offer. At least I no longer hated the idea of writing codes and believe it or not, I sometimes even like the idea of developing an application o.O

Here I would like shout out a bunch of thanks to those who made my training so much more bearable, memorable and definitely more fun:

1. Jo, thanks for being there for me when I got so sick and had to spend the whole night by the toilet bowl
2. Jaime and Grace, thanks for being my lunch mates at our dear dear Floating restaurants
3. Nunu, Jules, Sanjev and Sammy, thanks for laughing with me and letting me lean on your shoulders during my lowest darkest time.
4. Denny, thanks for showing me how to trust and be honest with how I feel and most of all thanks for showing me what love is. Honey, I love you.

Thanks guys. I love you loads!!! Muahhhhssss

In a nutshell, I found knowledge, skills, lessons learned, friendships and love that I shall treasure for the rest of my life. It was one heck of a training!!! No words can describe the awesome-ness of the training…

CHEERS TO ALL THE 100 MALAYSIANS IN INFOSYS, MYSORE

Hmmm…now that Denny is here, I get off work very much on time, around 5.15pm to 5.30pm everyday…
Last night, we went out for dinner, a little shopping and then a movie but it’s not like we don’t go out every other day.

As soon as I got home from work I switch my backpack to my little handbag before heading out to the mall. Yes, I know I didn’t shower but that’s just because I tend to get lazy if I stick around the house for too long and end up going nowhere. OK FINE, I’m dirty and smelly but HEY who cares >.<. I can live my life the way I want to and I do shower when I get home at the end of the day.

Okay, anyway I did a little shopping before we went to Sakae Sushi for dinner (Oh, I just love the sushi there. No offence to Sushi King lover but I think that Sushi King is pretty sucky these days). Bought a brand new bikini for my little getaway this weekend. ^^. Not telling you where I’m going…If you wanna know you better stay tuned hahahaha…

After shopping and dining, here comes MOVIE TIME! Vantage point is a pretty good movie. I won’t say it’s awesome or it gives you an adrenaline rush but it’s definitely not a bad movie to watch. If you have some time on your hand to hit the cinema I would totally recommend this movie.

It tells the story of the attempted assassination of POTUS (President Of The United States) from each person’s perspective prior to the assassination and immediately after the shooting happens. I personally like the character played by Forest Whitaker (an American tourist filming the historic event – summit on the global war on terror) though he isn’t the main character. I don’t exactly know why, but I guess it should be the fact that passion shows in what he’s doing despite having a painful past. His determination in helping to unlock the truth of the assassination and saving the little girl name Anna whom he met at the summit. And of course the story ends with the POTUS found save in hand. END OF STORY

Testing and debugging and running the program again…repeating the 3 tasks over and over again especially when the program is generating a report that needs a hefty amount of data can really bore someone to death -> ME!!! So to save myself from death, I decided to start blogging again after an extensive amount of time of not blogging. Thus I’m BACK. No promises that I’ll stay for long but at least for the presents of these grueling tasks, I’ll stick around for a little bit.

Now I shall start with a little recap of the major affairs that happen last year till present:

1. Got my applications to train with Infosys, India approved
2. Very short Chinese New Year as I have to leave for India
3. Make 5 new buddies in india: a) Sammy, my chink bro
b) My Foster family, consisting of Sanjev, Julez and Nunu
c) My dear friend Mangkuk aka Jaime
4. Met someone special à Denny
5. Came back from India and basically do nothing for the whole 5months. Why? Cause Denny visits me every couple of months
6. October is a memorable month. Denny proposed and I said “YES!” and so I’m engaged ^^
7. Started working in the month of December till present
8. Lovely Chinese New Year. First CNY that I celebrate with Denny.
9. Won some money in Julian’s house ^^…tqtq
10. Last but not least I’m currently still waiting for the approval of my I-129F application. What’s I-129F? It’s the first application you file when you apply for a fiancé(e) visa.

So what am I gonna do with the time I have left in Malaysia before I leave for Seattle? Well I hope to spend as much time with my friends and family and gobble down all the Penang Food as much as I can. And “Why Seattle?” , you may ask. That’s because Denny lives there.

Well that’s about it for today. I might have something to add tomorrow if testing, debugging and running is not done by today.
