Don't I look rugged in this piece of something? (by MoofMoof)
Alright, I'm ready to roll! (I laughed at his work but I gotta admit it looks pretty cool on Roccio)

As promised, here's the weird looking angry cat for Tough Girl 101 also known as Kat. Kat, let me know what you think. If you don't like it, we can start over with the design and make another one.

(Kouton the angry kitty)

Also in this collection is a quirky, curious little ox named Lamboo. Mr. Lamboo is also another custom made order, now proudly owned by DoubleM.

I made my first sale on http://www.etsy.com right before Chinese New Year. It's really rewarding and it made me feel so good. What a good way to start the new year eh?

My softies blog and shop isn't fully set up yet. Once it's all up, I'll post the links here. Below are the 2 piggies that I sold.

Don't ask me why but I love to hoard my old socks even the ones that are ugly, super lose and has already discoloured. It's so habitual that I had to bring them with me when I moved from Malaysia to Seattle. Yes, you can call me siao.

They use to sit comfortably in my drawers until yesterday... I went on a sudden rampage; I pull each and every one of them out and hack them into pieces! Can you believe that? My beloved old socks that I guard with life for the past 10 YEARS!

Nah, just kidding! I didn't hack them into pieces but I did cut them up and stitch them back into something else. I cut up a pair of my old socks and a pair of my new socks and

TADA!

(The big one is named DugaDuga and the small one is named GupGup)

(DugaDuga is made from my old socks)

(GupGup is made from 1 side of my new socks)

Isn't this great? I can still hoard my old socks but they no longer have to sit in my drawer looking ugly and lifeless. I give them new faces, new names and a new purpose in life. This is what I call recycling the fun way. Go Green!

-| Blue BunnyPork |-

Update: Due to a friend's suggestion I now officially change his name to Blue BunnyPork. Name credited to Mr. Ashi.

My second attempt at making a felt softie. This bunny isn't fully my own design. I reinvented a bunny that I saw in a book by fusing in my own essence; weird, ugly but adorable. Hence the piggy nose and the googly eyes.

It looks pretty simple and fairly easy to make but it turned out to be harder than I thought. However, I'm not gonna give up and I plan to make more especially those that are more challenging. So wish me luck people! ^^

p/s: This is actually the fourth one but it's my second more challenging softie. The one I made before Blue Bunny is Chickdoo ~

-| Makeover Vol.2 |-

Few changes here and there does make a difference. All I do is take away one little wood shelve, repaint another shelve, repaint the door, throw in some pretty little goodies AND

(work in progress)

voila you get a brand new bathroom!

-| MakeOver Vol.1 |-

That's our future room and DIY renovation is in progress. We have been working on it for a month now and hopefully it'll be completed in another 3 weeks time. I can't wait to move in because I love love love to have my own bathroom. The little wooden door in the 1st picture is the door to my own little bathroom. :D. We have another wooden door that leads to the rest of the house and a glass panel sliding door that opens up to the backyard. Cool huh?

Anyway here's the work we've accomplished so far:

1. Scraping off the "Popcorn" ceiling
2. Filling up cracks on the ceiling
3. Painting the ceiling. We chose pale yellow to go with the new wall colors
4. Removing the old wall edging strips/wall trims
5. Replacing the old wall with new ones. As you can see from the 2nd picture, the old wall is the white area in the picture with small little holes texture. We thought it looks kinda weird and painting it would be a toughie
6. Painting the walls. We chose bright orange and dark chocolate for the walls to create a little bright and dark contrast as we didn't want the room to be too bright nor too dark
7. Fixing the new little edging strips from hell!!! Man, taking them out was so easy but putting them back was tough as hell. The toughest part is getting the angles and measurements right. So next time, when your contractor charges you a little more for the edges, don't complain
8. Painted the edging strips from hell white

And that's all for now.

Stay tuned for more info as we progress further in the makeover project.
