We went to the pumpkin patch & the corn maze for the first time today at the Craven Farm. I gotta say I never thought that going to a farm full of pumpkins and corns could be so much fun.
To get our money's worth from the corn maze, we decided to take on the Wild Hare Route (the harder one, obviously) relative to the Bunny Route, thinking it would be a peace of cake. Boy, were we wrong! We were going round and round in the corn maze, from one loop to another. It was crazy! However, we eventually made it out alive after HOURS of being stuck in the maze. Note to self - don't ever underestimate the corn mazes again.
We then move on to pumpkin hunting. It felt like playing the Harvest Moon game in real life. How awesome is that, huh? I got to push the wheelbarrow, walked in the patch and marvelled over the farm that is full of adorable pumpkins. Don't ask me why, but I've always thought that pumpkins are adorable, big or small.
We were having so much fun finding that perfect pumpkin for Halloween until we realized that we dropped our camera, my tiny Canon SD780is. We spent the next 45 minutes walking back and forth in the pumpkin patch looking for that tiny black camera telling myself the whole time that we'll definitely find it. Finally, we asked the lady at the cashier if there was a Lost and Found, and she looked but there was no camera. We went back to the pumpkin patch for another round of searching. No luck. Just when things seemed bleak, we held on to the positive thought more and more, and we went back to the Lost and Found booth again, and surely enough someone had found the camera and had returned it. To the one who found it and to the lady at the booth, we thank you very much and may you and your family always be blessed and we wish you many happy returns. It is delightful to know that in our world of decreasing morals and values, there are still good samaritans out there.
Ahhh...what a day! So much fun and so many wonderful things to be discovered. Thanks to our lovely friends for inviting us.

To celebrate the Bulan Puasa or the Ramadhan Month (well I don't actually celebrate it because I'm not muslim but any occasions that has good food is my celebration. Muhibah kan?), I've decided to make Onde-Onde or Buah Melaka which is one of my favourite delicacies sold at the Pasar Ramadhan (Ramadhan Market).
Onde-Onde is a soft, chewy green glutinous rice balls coated with coconut shavings and when you pop it in your mouth, a generous amount of melted palm sugar come oozing out of it. Nyum! It's delicious and MoofMoof gobble down most of it.
Don't you just love looking at the green fuzzy balls? Trust me, you'll love it more in your mouth.
So if you're looking for something different to serve during tea time, this may just be what you're looking for:
Ingredients:
- 250 g Glutinous Rice Flour
- 200 ml Pandan Juice (screwpine leaves) [substitute: 1 teaspoon of essence of coconut mixed with 1 or 2 drops of green food coloring + 200 ml water]
- 150 g Gula Melaka (Palm Sugar), finely chopped [substitute: gula jawa]
- 100 g Grated Coconut [substitute: unsweetened desiccated coconut or dried coconut flakes]
- A Pinch Of Sea Salt
- In a large bowl, combine the glutinous rice flour with Pandan juice and knead lightly to form a smooth dough. Cover the dough and set aside for about 15 minutes.
- Mix the grated coconut with a pinch of salt and steam for about 2 - 3 minutes and let it cool completely.
- Pinch a small piece of dough (about 15 g each) and flatten lightly. Fill the center of the dough with palm sugar. Roll them in your palm to form a smooth ball.
- Cook the glutinous rice balls in the boiling water. When the rice balls float to the surface, remove them with a slotted spoon and shake off the excess water.
- Coat the rice balls with grated coconut and serve immediately.

That day was the first time I saw so many Malaysians since I moved to Seattle. I didn't know most of the people at the party but was told by a friend about the existence of that party and so we joined her. I'm really glad that we decided to go cause it was simply AWESOME! Fun people, finger-licking-good Malaysian food(I couldn't separate myself from the keropok ikan[fish crackers] bowl) and a place buzzing with real Bahasa Malaysia (Malay language) not Bahasa Indonesia. Before I was always excited whenever I hear people around me speaks Bahasa Indonesia cause that's the closest thing to home...HAHAHA

That day I felt at home. I can't wait for the next event! :D

The sun was out the whole day. The day was warm and beautiful. MoofMoof and I refused to let the day pass without doing anything so we geared up on our sunbathing kit and head to the lake by our house with Roccio.

WINE - when it comes to wine, I'm not the type of person who goes after branded, well known, expensive wines. I'm the type who likes to try all different types, brands and price range of wines. To me, brands and price don't really matter. What I care more is if they sit right on my palate. Today I happen to hop into Safeway for a little grocery shopping while my laundries are having a jolly good time in the laundromat and the husband decided to make it up for the lost Sunday that he caused. So we decided to grab some wine to go with our dinner. Lookie, lookie what we found:

For only $4.98. It is amazing! I can smell it's lush, fruity, rosey aroma as I spin the wine glass and ripe apricot lingers in my mouth after I tasted it. It didn't taste as sweet as the other Moscato that we had so it's perfect for me. I like sweet fruity wines that aren't too sweet. However, I still think it might be a little too sweet for some of you out there. Anyway, I think I downed most of the wine since it's too good to be true :D

Sunny, windy, chilly, fun, crazy, hot dogs, cheese burgers, chicken wings, salad, beers, delicious, tiring - those are words to summarize our barbeque party in Golden Garden.

Some of you might know and some of you might not, but the first Starbucks was founded in Downtown Seattle at Pike Place Market. It's about a 20 minutes drive from my place so what the heck, lets go check out the first Starbucks to see what it looks like or how special it is. It didn't disappoint me at all. I did enjoy my trip down there as it was warm, sunny and the place was buzzing with life and I had a great lunch in La Panier (french bakery) and an awesome wine tasting session in La Buona Tavola (a small little truffle cafe). Anyway here's a picture that I took in front of Starbucks :

YOU CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT JUST HAPPENED TO ME ON NEW YEAR'S EVE! A FREAKING
Wednesday, November 05, 2008
31st October, Halloween, everyone is out either in weird funky costumes or just plain everyday clothes, who cares but everyone is out and so were we. It was fun watching people in costumes. Those costumes ranges from really cool Wonder Woman outfit to a brown paper bag from the grocery stores with 2 holes :D ...But I really have to apologize here cause I was too busy "people watching" that I forgot to bust out my bulky camera from my bag to snap some pictures for you. Oh! In case you're wondering if I dress up, yes I did dress up but in a dress and not a costume. I was too lazy to go shop for one and I guess I wasn't particularly feeling adventurous that night.
We hung out at a lounge called Ohana so we can have drinks and music while we "people watch". When we decided to hop to another lounge, we were greeted with part of the road being sealed off by the police outside the bar. Apparently there were some shooting going on right outside the bar on the road. Wow! Ohana must have been really loud and we must've been too busy checking out the costumes that we didn't even hear the gunshots. A woman was shot in the face and a man was shot in the leg near the groin area (Ouch!). Both are listed in critical conditions. http://www.komonews.com/news/33692329.html.
That's not all, a 61 yo man set himself on fire on the same night in UW and another shooting at the same time near Garfield HS. That sure was one hell of a Halloween and good thing I was sitting comfortably in Ohana while the shooting happened and not bar hopping, else I might have been the one shot in the face *shivers*.

First of all thousands of apologies for my MIA. Reason being, I was too busy preparing to visit Vietnam and move to Seattle and then got too busy trying to get settled down in Seattle. Now still busy with renovating my future room which will be highlighted in my later post. Now I bunk in MoofMoof's old room.
Okay a quick update of me here before I move on to my main topic:
Sept 02 : Flew to Saigon, Vietnam to visit MoofMoof's relatives
Sept 08 : Flew home to Seattle (new home lo)
Currently : Still in Seattle la, abo then >< :D
Oct 11 : Shall be my wedding registration day in King County Court House, 3rd Ave Downtown Seattle
Aite, back to my cerita:
Have been bising-bising hinting to MoofMoof for the past 2 days that Raya is here and I'm not home to go to all my dad's friends rumah terbuka for all those yummy kuih-muih, rendang, lemang and ketupat. So today MoofMoof suddenly messaged me on MSN while he was at work saying "Hey, lets have Malaysian food for dinner". I was obviously trying to hide my overexcited-ness by just saying "Really?" but padahal I was jumping like crazy in my room already. KK fast forward to dinner time.

Yesterday, 19th of July 2008, Penang celebrated O-Bon (Japanese Buddhist tradition to honor the departed soul of one's ancestor) in Esplanade. Bon Odori (Bon dance) festival, the brain child of the Japanese Expatriate & Immigrant's Society in Malaysia is a yearly event held in both Esplanade, Penang and Matsushita Corp Stadium, Selangor in conjunction with O-Bon.
Bon Odori Fest takes you on a ride of Japanese arts & dance with the plus bonus of yummo Japanese food and drinks (tako yaki being my personal favorite :D *drools*). People were swarming each and every stall (especially tako yaki stall!) heightening the risk of getting separated from M@rs and Yuki at the pizza stall your friends. Aside from buying, eating, and watching performances, youngs and olds are encouraged to join in the Bon Dance. Having the tummy filled and "saturday night fever" "Bon dance fever" quenched, everyone winds down to watch the spectacular fireworks display that marks the end of the Bon Odori Fest.
Here are some less spectacular pictures I took during the festival (starring MC, Yuki, Zeemi, M@rs and last but not least ME! only half my face is in the picture *sob*) :This might be my last time enjoying the Bon Odori Festival in Malaysia...I wonder if they have it in Seattle...hmmm...

Heya! I'm home! Miss me ke? Phew I'm brought back home by AirAsia.
Was so afraid they'll leave me in Singapore and separate me from my Mama and I'll go "Wa wa waaaaaaaaa bring me back to my Mama. I want my Mama" *stomping my feet on the ground*...Hehehe I'm just being dramatic. You know me, I get very drama when I'm over excited. Why? Because I went with an empty luggage and came back with an excess baggage =O ...I didn't only buy things I wanted to buy but I bought stuff that I accidentally stumble upon. Here's how it went...
On our way searching our way to Clark Quay
Me : Hey which way should we go?
Gaz : I think we should go...*trails off*
Sue : Hey I know, instead of taking the traffic lights, lets get across through that store and go straight...
All of Us: Wokie!
So there we go, trotting hastily towards the store hoping to get to Clark Quay ASAP BUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuT
Me : Wait wait wait! *Droools. Staring wide-eyed at the pretty red thing in front of me...Oooh come to mama, baby!*
Our mission to Clark Quay came to a halt! Sue and I began prancing in the store in green, red, pink, blue you name it we tried it shoes. A shoe lover like me can't resist slipping my feet into those gorgeous heels, can I? Orh lovely lovely shoes...I'm sure the store assistants would have chopped us, grind us into small little pieces and throw us into the river of Clark Quay to feed the fishes if we didn't end up buying something from the store. But of course a shoe hoarder can never come out from a shoe store empty handed right? teeheehee. So here's what mi got for miself :
I bought tons of other stuffs, mainly clothing. There are just too many of them that one page can hardly fit them all so am not gonna post it all up here ^^...Conclusion = I burn a big hole in my purse once again (erm...more like MoofMoof's pocket ehehehe =p) *wink wink...flashing my innocent kitty smile*
p/s: Thanks baby! (have to show gratitude la kan?)

First of all, thousands of apologies for not having updated my bloggie for centuries. Been real busy collecting various documents for my visa application which fortunately and with much reliefs are finally almost done.
Anyway, I was down in Kay-EL last Thursday to collect my final piece of paper. My stay there extended for another 3 days for the sole purpose of blowing a humongous hole in my savings to the point of having to squeeze every last bit of the juices left in my savings. What can I say, I'm an impulse shopper after all. When I don't shop, I don't spend a penny but when I do shop, expect a catastrophic impact to my financial status >.< ... ok, here goes my transactions history by order:

SEX is the passion of my life. I love SEX, I adore SEX and I crave for SEX. The mere mention of “SEX” sends a thrilling sensation down my spine. SEX not only makes me a happier person but it never failed to bust away all the nerve wrecking stress. SEX embraces my life with love and gives me the ultimate satisfaction in life. SEX injects warmth and comfort in my life, making me feel pampered and nice and makes my life so much more worth living for. OH! SEX is so orgasmic, it makes me feel like I’m high up in the sky, which is why it is so addictive. If I can, I’d love to have SEX all day long especially in the comfort of my room. Though I’ll have to admit that it’s not always carried out in the room.
What would be my best recipe or ingredients in my SEX life? Not too much and not too complicated I would say. Well here goes…all that I need to get me going at SEX are:
1. A firm bed or a mat big enough
2. Chocolates or ice cream
3. Good music.
It’s as simple as that. I’m absolutely sure that everyone loves a good SEX. No? You don’t agree? You’ll be lying if you say no.
By this time your brain must be working overtime thinking that I’m some slutty whore perv. If you’re actually thinking about that, then obviously your brain is darn murky, massively polluted by years of pornography and dirty little jokes that you throw at each other in your little toilet talks. Muahaha…alright it’s time to shed some lights, I’m talking bout SEX not sex. SEX is the abbreviation of Sleep, Eat, Xcercise. Further explanation of what I do for SEX:
1. A firm bed (to sleep) or a mat big enough (for pilates)
2. Chocolates or ice cream (isn’t it obvious?)
3. Good music. (for all, S, E and X)
That’s all I have for now and before I end I just wanna wish everyone, “Have a GOOD SEX!”

After a series of flake off for the past 3weeks or so, I told myself it's time to go hang out again. Sorry guys, I just had a very long downtime and productions just has to be shutdown...phew! luckily no millions were lost. Anyway we all agreed to hang out in Starbucks at the ever so famous AutoCity (btw, that's the only available so called "chic" place in town). Predictably there'll be at least one camera on hand during each outing. We minum kopi setarbak, chitty chatty and last but not least "chiak chiak chiak". What's "chiak chiak chiak"? o.O? It's not makan okay? It's the sound of our cameras trying really hard to do the Fatal Frames and the Zero Shots.
As meaty as I am, I still try my very best to strike my best pose that hides all those extras gained through constant consumption of McFatty. Below is the comment from one of my peeps:
"Eh don't try so hard la. It's a fact ok. No matter how hard you try to hide it, what camera tricks you pull, outcome still the same la"
Well here's the best shot for the night:
Urghhh! FAT!
Andddddddddddd NOW, I'm gonna prove than MiniVin is wrong! By pulling of some genius camera tricks and by trying extra extra SUPER hard with lotsa believe in yourself ~ "I Can Dooooo Ittttttttttttt" then by all means you'll definitely definitely be able to achieve your wanted super slim shot.
TADA!
Everytime I look at this picture I gasp like "OMG, I so look like one of those super models". Look at the high cheekbones! See MiniVin, See! See! See! It fxcking work!
Sorry dude, if the supermodel picture above scare the crap out of you and you shit in your pants, I'm so so sorry. Thousands of apologies. I've watched my series over and over again and I'm bored out of my head so I've decided to do things differently this time. Instead of posting up my ala ala best shots, I've decided to make lawak bodoh of myself by putting up something more repulsive and see how would I feel about it the next day.
